We specialize in custom cakes and cupcakes that turn your celebrations into showstopping moments. From the first sketch to final delivery, we take the stress out of event planning and bring handcrafted, joy-filled desserts straight to your door.

Rooted in classic baking techniques and elevated with modern, eye-catching design, every DannyCakes creation is made with premium ingredients and a passion for detail. Proudly serving the Coachella Valley since 2013, we are here to make life a little sweeter — one cake at a time.

ORDERING & PAYMENT POLICIES

Order Placement:

All orders must be submitted via email at least fourteen (14) days prior to the requested due date. Due to high demand, DannyCakes, LLC is unable to accommodate orders with less than a 14-day notice.

Please allow 1–3 business days for a response.
Kindly note that emails are not monitored or responded to on:

• Fridays & Saturdays (high-volume production days)

• Sundays & Mondays (business closed)

Deposits & Payment Terms:

A non-refundable deposit of 50% of the total order cost is required to secure your date and initiate production.

• Orders are not confirmed and production will not begin until the deposit has been received.

• Payments are accepted via cash or credit/debit card (processed through Square).

The remaining balance is due prior to pickup or delivery, unless otherwise agreed upon in writing.

Cancellations & Refund Policy:

• Orders canceled more than 7 days prior to the scheduled due date are eligible for a maximum refund of 50% of the total order value.

• Cancellations made within 7 days of the due date are non-refundable.

All deposits are non-refundable under any circumstances, as they secure your date and cover preparation costs.

Pickup, Delivery & Responsibility:

Delivery is available for an additional fee. Specific pricing will be provided at the time of booking.

• Orders scheduled for pickup or delivery before 10:00 AM or after 3:00 PM will incur a 25% surcharge.

• Once the product has been picked up or delivered and leaves the possession of DannyCakes, LLC, full responsibility transfers to the client.

DannyCakes, LLC is not liable for any damage, mishandling, or improper storage after transfer. Care and handling instructions will be provided and must be followed to maintain product quality.

Non-Payment / Order Forfeiture:

Failure to complete final payment by the agreed-upon time may result in order cancellation without refund, and the order may be released.

Cake Tastings:

Cake tastings are available by appointment only with a minimum of one (1) week advance notice.

• Tastings are priced at $45.00.

• Up to six (6) flavors may be selected per tasting appointment.

MEET THE CHEF

- THE SWEET MIND BEHIND THE CAKES -

A true Coachella Valley native, Danny Escamilla discovered his passion for cake design in the most unexpected way—by saying yes to an opportunity at a local bakery just after graduating high school. What started as a job quickly turned into an obsession. With no prior experience and a piping bag in hand, Danny taught himself through patience, practice, and a relentless drive to improve. It didn’t take long to realize—this was more than a job, it was his calling.

Determined to refine his craft, Danny enrolled in the Culinary Arts and Management program at College of the Desert, where he trained under Chef Stephen Beno. During this time, he expanded his experience by working alongside renowned culinary personalities like Rachael Ray and the duo behind The Hearty Boys at the Coachella Valley Food & Wine Festivals—an experience that helped shape both his technical skills and creative perspective.

By 2007, Danny stepped into a leadership role as a Corporate Baker Training Specialist for a national bakery brand, where he trained and mentored over 60 bakers while helping oversee operations across 18 Southern California locations. It was here that he discovered a second passion—teaching. He later became a Wilton Method Cake Instructor, sharing his knowledge and love for cake design with his local community.

In 2013, Danny combined his passion for artistry, celebration, and connection to launch DannyCakes, LLC. Based in Palm Springs, his custom cake studio is known for bold designs, vibrant colors, and fine detailed work.. Each cake is more than dessert—it’s a centerpiece, a conversation starter, and a reflection of the moment it’s made for.

Danny thrives on being part of life’s most meaningful celebrations. As he puts it, “There’s nothing like seeing the look on someone’s face when they first see their cake. Knowing I helped make their day unforgettable—that’s everything… even if it took four days to create something they’ll happily destroy in minutes.”

Today, DannyCakes continues to grow beyond the Coachella Valley, with clients across Los Angeles, Orange County, and San Diego—bringing creativity, color, and a whole lot of joy to every celebration.
